Procedure time 40 min to prep for impressions.
To prepare
for a crown the doctor prepares the tooth by reshaping the tooth
to allow space for the crown to fit over the tooth.

The tooth
is prepped and two molds are taken to match the bite together.
Then a wax bite is taken to align the bite.
This is
then sent to the dental lab so the crown can be made.
In most
cases porcelain crowns can be made fin 24 hours. If need be, for
an extra charge, sometimes they can be made in 7 hr.
Porcelain Veneer Crowns
Natural
looking Porcelain Veneer crowns are great for use on
front 8 teeth, top and bottom. These
crowns have no metal base and are the most natural looking
crowns money can buy.
This
type of crowns are not cemented like the the metal crowns are
but are bonded to your teeth with a uv light.
As for metal base
crowns, in time the gum recedes and the metal base can become
visable.
